So, where did the design idea start?

We started by appreciating that there was a need in the market for a beautiful piece of furniture that provides peace and tranquillity for the user.

But to create a modernist period piece that is aesthetically pleasing and fully functional and comfortable was our prime objective.

How did the Bay Sofa design develop from a special retreat at home, to an office in an office in an open plan business space?

We started by creating a sofa that provides the user with an overwhelming sense of peace and quiet in isolation from outside surroundings in their modern home.

We very quickly realised we had created a solution for the business buyer to their requirements for a private and secure office in an office in an open plan space.

We developed this concept for businesses with the option of having two sofas facing, and then with a further option of adding a table between the two sofas.

Where are your sales originating from now, the home buyer or business buyer?

Primarily from the Modern Home Market where buyers are appreciating the calmness of their own private space.

Private buyers are contacting the design team to tell us where their Bay Sofas have been placed in the home for the greatest effect.

During the Covid lockdown their favoured use was a quiet haven to work in shutting out all outside influences, this has extended now post-Covid to our buyers enjoying the Bay sofa for quiet thoughts and reflection, reading or taking an afternoon nap.
